Hologram Wilds Slot Review
If you like something different when it comes to slots and fancy an escape from the Fairy Tale or Movie themed games that are popular, then why not check out Hologram Wilds. This is a sci-fi futuristic 40 payline slot from Playtech. Ultimately it’s a standard 5 reel slot with fruit symbols occupying the reels, but instead being emblazoned in colour the game is given a holographic effect by bathing everything in blue. It actually looks pretty cool and other colours do pop up from time to time when you get a win.
About Hologram Wilds
This 5 reel slot can be played from 1p to 40p a line meaning a minimum spin of 40p up to a maximum wager of £16. The wager is set using Line Bet option towards the bottom left of the game. An Autoplay feature lets you play 10, 25, 50 or 99 spins without having to click any buttons whilst a Turbo Mode option boosts the speed of the reels. We don’t really see any benefit of this option and do wonder why it’s included.
Free Scatter Game Features
At the bottom of each reel is a kind of Star Trek teleport pad and when you hit spin blue lights emit from the bases until the various cherries, apples, bananas, pineapples, lemons and pairs settle themselves. You may get wilds and stacked wilds during your spin plus there’s a free game scatter feature. This is activated when a gold crown appears simultaneously on reels 2, 3, and 4. The free spins round offers more wilds and that’s about it!
With Hologram Wilds, Playtech have taken a standard fruit themed game and given it a nice twist. The graphics are good and the space-age look excellent. We are wondering whether they could have created something more scifi in terms of symbols other than fruit. We do think there’s actually a basis for a Star Trek game here – with characters from the TV shows and films beaming in to the reels.
The Spin On Hologram Wilds
The wilds didn’t really add that much to the game – in many respects they’re token gestures and don’t result in wins, although they do play a bigger role in the free games round. That however is a bit disappointing as the game’s main feature. These aren’t dealbreakers to stop us playing Hologram Wilds – it is a good game that we think you’ll love. If you want to check it out for yourself then give it a go on demo mode before wagering. Let us know what you think!
