Cleopatra Plus Slot Review
The popular Cleopatra Slots game has had an upgrade in the shape of the imaginatively titled Cleopatra Plus. IGT have improved on the original game by adding 2x Wild symbols in the base game and Free Spins Bonus, as well as a host of exciting features to unlock with the Level Up Plus feature. However do these new additions to this well loved title add enough to encourage players to leave behind the original?
How To Play Cleopatra Plus
Cleopatra Plus is a 5 reel 40 payline slot. Wagering on Cleopatra Plus starts at 1p per line (minimum 40p a spin) up to £2 a line (maximum bet £80). On the reels you’ll find typical Egyptian icons that represent the likes of Ra, Anubis, Amun, Hathor and Bastet. The Cleopatra Plus symbol is the highest value one with x1500 for five of a kind. Low paying symbols are the usual playing card values of 9, 10, J, Q, K and A. An autospins option is available although UKGC rules may see that being removed later in 2021.
At the top right and left of the game you’ll see a couple of symbols. On the left is your lucky Egyptian Deity symbols and you can “choose your guiding light” initially from Aset, Bastet and Hathor. When you reach level 4 of the game you’re presented with further options. On the right of the game are followers symbols. You accumulate these as you play and initially you need 50 to reach the next level. Leveling up unlocks new bonus features and free spins. You need to collect 1250 followers to reach level 8. Your total should be saved from session to session.
The Cleopatra Bonus round activates when you get three or more followers on the reels. You receive a number of free spins plus up to 5 followers to place on the map. The map options increase as you level up through the game. Placing the people on the map gives you extra spins, cash or multipliers! We suspect that the more levels you climb up then the bigger the bonus round wins.
The Spin On Play Cleopatra Plus
Cleopatra Plus looks great and IGT have done an amazing job. The Egyptian soundtrack adds to atmosphere although the soundbites from ‘Cleopatra’ when you win are a little out of place. A big win for example is accompanied with “this brings me great joy” which is nice if not a bit saucy. During our trial play we managed to reach Level 2 (50 followers) – just to let you know nothing actually happens other than you’re told that you’ve gone up a level. We also never quite figured out the role of the Deity in proceedings. That said this is a class classic slot game and it does make you feel like you’re spinning the reels in Vegas rather than sat at home.
