Batman & Joker Slot Review

Long before Bale, Clooney, Keaton and Kilmer donned the black cape of Batman, Adam West was the Caped Crusader. Together with Burt Ward as Robin the Dynamic Duo took on Gotham’s most notorious villains including The Joker, The Riddler, Catwoman and The Penguin. The kitschness of the 60s series may now be long confined to TV history but game players can now enjoy it via a new series of slots released by Playtech.

Batman & Mr Freeze Fortune, Batman & The Riddler Riches, Batman & The Penguin Prize, Batman & The Batgirl Bonanza, Batman & Catwoman Cash and Batman & The Joker Jewels are all now available to play at Playtech powered sites including Bgo Casino, Sky Casino, Gala Bingo, William Hill Casino, Ladbrokes Casino and Coral Casino.

Batman & The Joker Jewels is a 5 reel 25 payline game with four progressive jackpots. The reel elements are actually pretty much the same for all titles – Batman and Robin along with utility belts, batmobiles and other iconic elements of the show make up the bulk of the reels. The extra villain of the piece, in this case The Joker, fills in with other symbols.

The format though does vary from game to game (for example Mr Freeze and The Penguin are not your usual 5 reel slot) so it’s well worth looking through all versions. We selected The Joker Jewels for our first review as The Joker has to be the main bad guy! The game itself is relatively simple with limited features.

The main features are The Joker Random Wilds Bonus plus free games with multiplier meter – these are activated during the bonus round. You can play from as little as 25p a spin or a Holy Mackerel – how much – £2500! We like the game but we’d not stake that much on it!

We do like the fact that the DC progressive jackpot can be triggered at any time, on any spin. This means players wagering 25p can potentially win the big prizes. If fortune does shine your way on the jackpot bonus round then you have the chance to win 1 of 4 progressive pots.

We enjoyed playing Batman & The Joker Jewels – it’s a fabulous way to be reminded of Batman of old! Game play is good, but we’d love to have seen some old clips from the TV series used in the game somewhere. The format – at least for The Joker version – is fairly safe and slot players will no doubt enjoy this battle between The Caped Crusader and The Joker.
