Batman & Joker Slot Review
Long before Bale, Clooney, Keaton and Kilmer donned the black cape of Batman, Adam West was the Caped Crusader. Together with Burt Ward as Robin the Dynamic Duo took on Gotham’s most notorious villains. The kitschness of the 60s series may now be long confined to TV history but game players can now enjoy it via a new series of Playtech slots. These include Mr Freeze Fortune, The Riddler Riches, The Penguin Prize, The Batgirl Bonanza, Catwoman Cash and The Joker Jewels.

How To Play Batman & The Joker Jewels
Batman & The Joker Jewels is a 5 reel 25 payline game with four progressive jackpots. The format though does vary from game to game (for example Mr Freeze and The Penguin are not your usual 5 reel slot) so it’s well worth looking through all versions. We selected The Joker Jewels for our first review as The Joker has to be the main bad guy! The game itself is relatively simple with limited features. Wagering starts at 25p and can be increased up to £100.
On The Reels
The reel elements are actually pretty much the same for all titles – Batman and Robin along with utility belts, batmobiles and other iconic elements of the show make up the bulk of the symbols. The extra villain of the piece, in this case The Joker, fills in with other symbols. Joker and Batman Wilds are the highest paying symbols with x2500 for five of a kind. Batman will pay x500, Joker x300 and Robin x200 make up the other high paying symbols.
The Joker Random Wilds Bonus
During any spin The Joker Random Wilds Bonus can be activated. During this bonus The Joker can place up to 9 smile wilds in any position on the reels. Smile wild symbols substitute for all symbols except scatters. If the bonus symbol appears on reels 1, 3 and 5 then Batman vs Joker free games are activated. Choose your side and watch as the multiplier meter moves during unlimited free spins (well until the meter lands on end).
DC Jackpots
As with other DC slots including Superman, there’s the chance to win 1 of 4 progressive slots during any spin. A Grand, Major, Minor and Mini jackpot is available when the jackpot round triggers. We do like the fact that the DC progressive jackpot can be triggered at any time, on any spin. This means players wagering 25p can potentially win the big prizes.
The Spin On Batman & The Joker Jewels
We enjoyed playing Batman & The Joker Jewels – it’s a fabulous way to be reminded of Batman of old! Game play is good, but we’d love to have seen some old clips from the TV series used in the game somewhere. The format – at least for The Joker version – is fairly safe and slot players will no doubt enjoy this battle between The Caped Crusader and The Joker. Wins however are few and far between and whilst we did see random wilds in action that resulted in no wins.
