Rizk Drops Welcome Bonus To UK Players
All details below were correct when published on 22nd April 2021. 18+. UK Only. Wagering terms and conditions apply. Please gamble responsibly.
Welcome bonuses are a huge feature for many online slots and casino brands. They’re often one of the main carrots for attracting new players. Different sites take different approaches with some happy to offer no deposit spins whilst others look at keeping wagering terms down or zero. In general most brands offer some kind of deposit reward – e.g. deposit £10 for a 100% bonus. These offers do get changed regularly and Rizk Casino are the latest to make changes. And it’s not good news because they’re doing away with their welcome offer for UK players altogether!
No Welcome Bonus For UK Players
According to information received customers in the UK on Rizk.com and customers in Ireland for Rizk.com, Guts.com, and Kaboo.com will no longer be able to claim a welcome bonus. Customers will still be able to register and receive rewards from the Wheel of Rizk when levelling up. We don’t know about you but that doesn’t sound like a particularly great deal for new players who like welcome offers. If you’re looking to try out a new casino and want some kind of incentive then Rizk are going to be down the bottom of the list.
Great If You Don’t Like Welcome Offers
If you’re not a fan of welcome offers and dislike being ‘locked in’ to a brand due to wagering terms then Rizk’s decision is actually beneficial. After all you can sign up, deposit and get playing with real money without being bothered with bonuses, free spins or wagering terms. You’re basically free to take out your money too without losing any accrued bonuses or being with a casino that might make withdrawals difficult due to bonuses played. However just to counter that in many cases you don’t have to accept or play welcome bonuses!
Why Are Rizk Taking This Decision?
We don’t have any information as to why Rizk.com are making this decision but we can make an educated guess. It might be due to costs and taxation issues in the respective countries. Rizk and co may consider that it’s not good value for them offering players welcome bonuses. Another possible reason is that this is the first step for these brands to pull out of these territories. A lot of slots brands have left The UK market – Guts for example – and this eases out Rizk from that sector. From an affiliate perspective we can’t envisage many affiliates giving Rizk that much coverage without an incentive to players to join.
What Next For Rizk?
It wouldn’t come as a massive surprise if in the next few months Rizk joins Guts.com and stops being a brand for UK players. Since Betsson acquired the Gaming Innovation Group they’ve pretty much pulled every brand out of The UK. The decision was made to focus on Rizk in The UK. We suspect that Swedish based Betsson are now no longer even considering focusing on Rizk and that their time and energy is better spent on other markets.
