Fluffy Favourites from Eyecon Games has been a staple of the slots roster at many a bingo and casino brand. The simplistic 5 reel, 25 payline slot has always been popular but could it’s days be numbered. The online gambling industry has been in the spotlight recently as bonus legislation changes are being made, brands are being fined for breaching terms, affiliate programs are being closed and advertising being scrutinised.
The most recent scrutinisation has come from The UK Gambling Commission who has expressed concern regarding “freely accessible ads on gambling operator websites, which feature images that are likely to appeal to U18s”. In terms of advertising we think that this is fair comment. Bingo and slot advertisements should not be designed to appeal to U18s and nor should they be targeted at U18s. However, will a clamp down on advertising and accessible free games be the end of the matter?

Could we actually reach the point where Fluffy Favourites is banned and slot themes can only be like the old days of plums, cherries, bars, sevens and X’s?
It’s not impossible the way things are going but hopefully common sense will prevail. We’re not big fans of Fluffy Favourites, but it’d be a shame to see the game vanish from our screens – and if Fluffy goes then a lot of other games would also follow suit.
