Crazy Time Live takes the Spin A Win wheel game and adds extra features. In many ways this Evolution Gaming spins game is like Playtech’s Adventures Beyond Wonderland but without the wonderland and virtual graphic elements. In both games the wheel gives you the chance to win cash multipliers but also win bonus round features. These include Crazy Time, Pachinko, Coin Flip, Cash Hunt. Crazy Time is a lot busier than many other live game shows and has a kind of funfair feel to the process which makes it a lot of fun.
How To Play Crazy Time
When you enter the Crazy Time game show you’ll see that there’s a main money wheel plus a slot above the money wheel. The money wheel has 54 segments, and each segment contains either a number (1, 2, 5 or 10) or a bonus game. Before the start of the round you’ll be invited to bet on the outcome of the wheel spin. You can choose 1, 2, 5, 10, Crazy Time, Pachinko, Coin Flip, Cash Hunt. You can wager from 10p to £5000 (Jackpotjoy). Once you’ve placed your bets it’s time to to spin the wheel.
The money wheel and the top slot spin at the same time when the round begins. The top slot selects one random multiplier for one random bet spot — either a number or bonus game. If a multiplier and bet spot align in the top slot it’s a match and a multiplier will be added to this bet spot. If the money wheel stops at the selected bet spot, the payout will be multiplied accordingly. The top slot feature is pretty much ‘Walter’ on Adventures Beyond Wonderland.
Crazy Time Bonus Round
If the wheel stops on a number then you win the relevant multiplier (x1, x2, x5, x10 as standard). However if the wheel stops on Pachinko, Coin Flip, Cash Hunt then these bonus games come into play. Pachinko is the well known coin drop game where a puck is dropped through a wall of pegs before ending up in a section at the bottom of the screen. Where the puck ends up determines the prize multiplier. If the puck lands a zone marked “DOUBLE” then all the multipliers are doubled and the puck goes back into play.
Coin Flip is a simple heads or tails style game. The presenter shows two random multiplier values – one for red and one for blue – and then flips the coin. Whatever side the coin lands determines the multiplier result. The other game Cash Hunt resembles a shooting gallery at a fair. Behind the 108 symbols are various multipliers. The aim of the game is to select one of the symbols to reveal a win. The fun element of Cash Hunt is that each qualifying player picks their own symbol so prizes vary when this feature appears.
The Spins Verdict
The last feature is Crazy Time! If the money wheel lands on this symbol then the presenter opens the red door to another wheel in a crazy virtual world. According to the info about the game this wheel “has 64 segments and is filled with crazy multipliers with the possibility for crazy multiplied winnings!”. Qualifying players are invited to select a red, blue or green flapper and their prize is determined where these flappers end up on the spin of the wheel. If the spin ends on DOUBLE or TRIPLE segments then prizes are increased and the spin repeated. Note only players who have selected the flapper that ended on a DOUBLE/TRIPLE play on.
Crazy Time is an apt name for this live game show because it is crazy! There’s a lot going on and the presenters are all very hyper. The bonus games are quite fun and do appear regularly which makes for a lot of interest. As with other Spin The Wheel games we love the fact that you can wager from just 10p a spin. This makes gameplay good value but don’t be tempted to chase wins. As we said at the start it does seem to be in the same domain as Adventures Beyond Wonderland and if pushed we’d say the latter is our preference. Simply because it doesn’t feel so hectic.
